The Plot of the Movie : 

Carrie White, a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother, who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom. 

The production history :

In May 2011, representatives from MGM and Screen Gems announced that the two companies were producing a film remake of Carrie. The two studios hired Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark playwright Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa to write a screenplay that delivers "a more faithful adaption" of King's novel—Aguirre-Sacasa previously adapted King’s work The Stand into a comic book in 2008.

 Upon hearing of the new adaptation, King remarked, "The real question is why, when the original was so good?" He also suggested Lindsay Lohan for the main role and stated that "it  would certainly be fun to cast. Actress Sissy Spacek, who played Carrie in de Palma's adaptation, expressed an opinion on the choice of Lohan for the character of Carrie White, stating that she "was like, 'Oh my God, she's really a beautiful girl' and so I was very flattered that they were casting someone to look like me instead of the real Carrie described in the book. It's gonna be real interesting. In March 2012, the role of Carrie White was offered to Chloë Grace Moretz, who accepted the role.

Last October 18, 2013 me and my blockmates watched the movie because it was the last day of our finals and the last day of the 1st Semester. At first me and my blockmates weren't sure what movie to watch because there were so many choices in Gateway after a few minutes of arguing all of us agreed to watch Carrie.

          So, the movie is all about Carrie a teenage girl that has supernatural powers. She can control things and people. The movie set's in a not so much popular town in America. Chris Hargensen is one of Carrie's classmates, Chris has been bullying Carrie for a very long time. One time after their gym class Carrie was showering when she got her first period and she thought she was bleeding to death. The other girls laughed and teased her. Chris recorded the happening and uploaded it into youtube. Her gym teacher (Rita Desjardin) comforter her and takes her to principal's office. Her mom was called so she can be picked up in school. The following day Ms. Rita told the girls that they will have 1 week detention. Chris say she won't go and she encouraged the girls to rebel also. She received 3 days suspension and she won't be allowed to go to prom. The following days got crazier, Carrie found out she can control things. Sue Snell bestfriend of Chris felt sorry for Carrie so she told her boyfriend Tommy Ross a popular kid in their school to take Carrie to prom. Chris and her boyfriend killed a pig where they drained the blood of the pig. They sneaked inside the gym a day before the prom hoisting the bucket filled with pig blood to the ceiling.On the night of the prom Margaret was preventing Carrie to go prom for the last time but Carrie used her AWESOME powers to locked her mom to a small room in their house. When Tommy and Carried arrived in prom they were enjoying there selves. To the surprise of everyone they were named Prom King and Prom Queen all thanks to Tina a friend of Chris, she slipped fake ballots and took out the real ones. Chris texted Sue taunting about their plan. Sue was at home that time so she immediately drove to the venue when she got there she saw Carrie and Tommy was about to be crowned King & Queen. Ms. Rita spotted her and she thought she was gonna ruin the moment so what she did she sent out Sue. Chris dumps the blood to Carrie after that the next happening were a little crazy and wild. The bucket fell into Tommy's head which caused his death. Carrie got mad and she went wild she destroyed the whole gym, she used her powers and locked all the doors. She killed all the girls that are friends with Chris. Some students were lucky to escape, the school burned to down pieces. Carrie saw Chris and Billy driving away from the scene once again she used her magnificent powers to stop them. At the end she killed Billy and Chris. When Carrie went home she said sorry to her mother but her mother had other plans for her. Margaret stab Carrie at the back and slashed one of her legs. Carrie had no choice but to use her powers again she used all the sharp objects inside the house. Carrie throws her mom to the wall and crucifies her with the sharp objects.  Sue went to their home and saw what happened, Carrie asked why everyone tricked her at prom Sue said she didn't knew anything. Carrie believed her and Carrie threw Sue outside the house just in time when the house crumbles into pieces. 

What I loved about the movie.

1. The violence was awesome you might throw up while watching it.
2. Kinda scary 
3. It has suspense
4. Awesome special effects
